Homes and walls in Tamworth
We cover Tamworth and nearby Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield and Brownhills. Tamworth is about 33 miles from Stoke-on-Trent. The West Midlands has large numbers of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, inter-war semis and post-war council estates, including concrete and steel-framed house types.
Exposure to wind-driven rain varies across Staffordshire: sheltered town streets fare better than walls on high ground or facing the prevailing weather, and the render, beads and cill details are chosen with that in mind.
We bring brick slip samples to Tamworth surveys so you can compare them with neighbouring houses.

Permissions in England
Planning in Tamworth follows England's national rules: similar-looking finishes on houses are usually permitted, while flats, commercial premises, conservation areas and streets under an Article 4 direction need an application.
Insulating or re-rendering more than half of a wall's area brings in Part L of the Building Regulations, so building control is notified and the wall is upgraded to about 0.30 W/m²K where practical.
How is the brick slip system built up?
Insulation boards are fixed as for any EWI, followed by a reinforced base coat. The slips are bonded with the system adhesive, spaced for joints, then pointed. Corners use L-shaped slips so the edge looks like a solid brick.

Brick slip EWI in Tamworth: questions
Is a brick slip finish more expensive?
Yes — roughly £70–£120 per m² more than render, because of materials and slower installation.
Will brick slips match my neighbours' brick?
We source slips to get close in colour and texture and show samples beforehand, but an exact match to weathered brick isn't always possible.
Can I mix brick slips and render?
Yes. A brick plinth or ground floor with render above is a common combination.
Do you cover Tamworth?
Yes — we survey and quote brick slip finishes in Tamworth (B79) and nearby Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield and Brownhills, with a fixed written price before any work starts.
