How quotes, surveys and work are handled.
Who you contract with
Render and Insulation is a trading name of S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16932889), registered office Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. Any contract for work is with S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, which invoices the work. Work is carried out by installation teams working under our management.
Guide prices and quotes
Prices on this website and from the quote tool are guide ranges and are not offers. Insulation prices for homes are totals while the 0% VAT rate applies (until 31 March 2027); other prices for homes include VAT at 20%; prices marked + VAT are for business customers. Your price is fixed in a written quote after a survey. The quote sets out the specification, what's included and excluded, the VAT treatment, payment terms and how long it's valid.
Surveys
Surveys for installation quotes are free and carry no obligation. Paid services, such as condition reports, are priced and agreed before they're booked.
Cancelling
If you agree a contract with us at your home or otherwise away from business premises, or at a distance, you normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us in writing to start work within that period and then cancel, you pay for work done up to the point you tell us. The written quote explains how to cancel.
Changes and hidden defects
If you ask for changes, or we find something that couldn't reasonably be seen at survey — for example damage behind old render — we'll explain it and agree any change in price in writing before continuing.
Weather and access
Render and insulation systems can only be applied in suitable weather. Programmes allow for this and dates may move. You agree to give reasonable access, and to tell us about anything that affects the work, such as known structural issues or listed status.
Guarantees
Any guarantee — including the system manufacturer's and any installer guarantee — is described in writing in your quote. We don't offer guarantees beyond what's stated there. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Website content
Guides and information on this site are general and checked at the date shown; rules on planning, building control, grants and VAT can change. Images on this site are computer-generated to show the kind of work we do; they are not photographs of our own completed jobs.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, the law of your nation applies to your contract and you can bring proceedings in your local courts.
