External wall insulation
Park home insulation
Park home insulation is a thin external wall insulation system fixed to the outside of a residential park home and finished in render. It reduces heat loss through the walls, cuts draughts and gives the home a new, low-maintenance finish.
- Thin boards suited to timber and steel-framed park home walls
- New render finish in a choice of colours
- Usually completed in days rather than weeks
- Often combined with new skirting and refreshed trims
- Site licence spacing rules checked before any thickness is added
- No scaffolding needed on most single-storey homes

How is a park home insulated?
Park home walls are usually a timber or steel frame with an outer cladding. The wall is cleaned and prepared, a base track is fixed, then insulation boards — often 30–70mm EPS — are fixed with fixings suited to the frame. A reinforced base coat and a thin-coat render finish follow, with trims around windows and doors.

Do I need permission from the site owner?
Check the park's rules and your written agreement. Park sites are licensed, and the licence normally sets fire-safety spacing between homes. Adding insulation reduces that gap slightly, so we confirm the measurements and the site's position before quoting. Planning permission isn't normally involved for park homes, but site licence conditions are.
Is park home insulation worth it?
Park homes lose heat quickly through thin walls, so owners often notice a warmer, less draughty home. The new finish also replaces painted or tired cladding. Actual savings depend on the home, its heating and how it's used, so we don't promise a figure.

Park home insulation: questions
How long does park home insulation take?
Usually 3–6 working days for a single unit once materials are on site, depending on weather and the number of windows.
Will insulation affect the gap to my neighbour?
It reduces it by the board and render thickness. The site licence sets minimum spacing, so we measure and check before specifying the thickness.
Can you insulate under the floor too?
Our focus is the walls and finish. Underfloor and roof options are worth asking about separately; we'll tell you if we can't help.
Is VAT charged on park home insulation?
Installing insulation in a residential home is currently zero-rated until 31 March 2027. Your quote shows the VAT treatment for each line.
