Homes and walls in Falmouth
We also cover Truro and Redruth, close to Falmouth. Falmouth sits around 9 miles from Redruth. The South West has many stone and solid-walled cottages, exposed coastal properties and a share of post-war system-built houses, including types such as the Cornish Unit.
Parts of Cornwall fall in the higher wind-driven rain exposure bands, especially coastal and upland sites, so render specification, movement joints and detailing at cills, verges and the base of the wall matter more than usual.
We clean render in Falmouth with low pressure only, so thin-coat and EWI finishes aren't damaged.

Planning and building control in England
Small repairs and cleaning in Falmouth normally need no approvals. Listed buildings are the exception — even minor external work can need consent.
How long does cleaned render stay clean?
It depends on shade, trees and exposure. Many walls stay clean for several years after a biocide treatment. North-facing, shaded and damp walls may need treating more often.
