Homes and walls in Godalming
We cover Godalming and nearby Guildford, Aldershot and Farnham. Godalming sits around 10 miles from Woking. Homes across the South East range from inter-war semis and post-war estates, which are mostly cavity-walled, to older solid-walled cottages and Victorian town terraces.
Much of Surrey sits in the lower wind-driven rain exposure bands, which keeps the choice of finishes wide — though hilltop, coastal and exposed gable walls can still need a tougher specification, so we check the actual site.
Shaded and north-facing walls in Godalming often need render cleaning sooner than sunny elevations.

England: planning and regulations
Repairs, cleaning and like-for-like patching don't usually need planning permission or building control. If repairs grow into re-rendering more than half of a wall, Building Regulations energy rules can apply.
How long does cleaned render stay clean?
It depends on shade, trees and exposure. Many walls stay clean for several years after a biocide treatment. North-facing, shaded and damp walls may need treating more often.

Yes — a compatible silicone paint restores colour without making the wall less breathable.

Yes, using low pressure and products suitable for thin-coat render.
